The 2nd WeForming Plenary Meeting in Málaga brought together brilliant minds and innovative ideas to push the boundaries of smart energy management in buildings. This meeting reinforced our collective commitment to transforming buildings into active players in the energy ecosystem. With every milestone, we’re one step closer to a more sustainable and resilient energy landscape.
WeForming’s first Plenary Meeting took place in Zagreb on May 14-15, 2024 and was hosted at ZICER by our Croatian partners Grid ONE, Smart Island Krk, and FER. It was great to be together as a team, fostering collaboration among our consortium of 30 partners from 10 different countries across Europe, all working towards the future of energy management, grid-forming buildings, and smart cities.
WeForming is a EU project that aims to revolutionise energy management and transform buildings from passive consumers into strategic players in forming the energy networks of the future. Our approach focuses on Intelligent Grid-Forming Buildings (iGFBs) designed to actively contribute to an interoperable greener energy ecosystem.
Mojtaba Kamarlouei, CTO and co-founder of Builtrix, sheds light on Builtrix’s role in WeForming, outlines the project’s main goals, and delves into the Portuguese demo. This demo is spearheaded by Builtrix in collaboration with R&D Nester and MOVIDA.
