Grid Flexibility

The capacity of an energy grid to dynamically adjust to fluctuations in demand and supply, ensuring stability, efficiency, and resilience. By integrating flexible energy resources, it enables better load management, enhances renewable energy integration, and supports a more reliable power system.

Grid-supporting services

Grid-supporting services are a range of functions and capabilities provided by various entities to enhance the stability, reliability, and efficiency of an energy grid. These services play a crucial role in managing the dynamic balance between energy supply and demand. Entities such as power plants, energy storage systems, and demand response programs can contribute these services to help maintain the grid's operational integrity and meet the required quality standards.

iGFBs

Intelligent Grid-Forming Buildings, or iGFBs, integrate smart technologies that transform buildings from passive consumers of energy into active nodes of the energy network. By seamlessly incorporating various forms of energy, managing electricity loads, and optimizing energy usage within individual structures or across premises, iGFBs enhance the flexibility of electricity grids, district heating systems, and other vital networks.

Interoperability

The ability of different systems, platforms, and technologies to seamlessly communicate, exchange data, and operate efficiently together. It enables real-time optimization, enhances system resilience, and supports bidirectional interactions, allowing for improved automation, efficiency, and adaptability across various components.

Power-to-X (PtX)

Conversion technologies that transform surplus electricity into alternative energy carriers, such as hydrogen, synthetic fuels, or heat, enabling flexible energy storage and use.

Predictive Maintenance

A proactive approach that uses data analytics and predictive modeling to detect potential issues before they occur. By monitoring performance trends and anticipating failures, it enhances reliability, reduces downtime, and optimizes the efficiency of energy-related systems and equipment.
